Kyle Davis
Senior UX Engineer
People and problem-solving skills have a meeting of the minds in our multi-talented software engineer.
I’ve always been a puzzle person and a people person. I love solving brain teasers almost as much as chatting with strangers in line at the grocery store — both of which serve me well in my career in web development. Meeting new people and learning about their experiences is a passion of mine, and that’s exactly what it takes to see a project succeed.
As a software engineer, I always try to put myself in others’ shoes. Stepping out of the technical and into the empathetic helps me understand how others might envision a project or website — revealing solutions I hadn’t yet considered. Careful listening is the key behind some of my proudest achievements over the years, from becoming a team lead to shepherding a multi-year redesign and Drupal migration for a university library website.
When I’m not working alongside higher education and environmental organizations to create custom web solutions, I’m happiest spending time with my family and tending to our land in Oklahoma. Next time we’re in a meeting together, ask me about my 15 minutes of fame: I played with greats like Heisman Trophy winner Jason White, Tommie Harris, and Mark Clayton as a walk-on wide receiver with the University of Oklahoma football team.
