Roger Williams Park Zoo is the country’s third oldest Zoo, first opening its doors in 1872. Each year, over 800,000 visitors support the mission of the Zoo to connect people with wildlife and inspire a love and appreciation for the environment and its animals. Our approach to the redesign was to bring more personality to its digital presence. A new organization of content increased circulation on the site, while new “surprise” elements inject a little bit of the unexpected — much like an in-person experience.
